Goreme Panorama
Our tour begins at Goreme Panorama, one of the best viewpoints for enjoying Cappadocia's spectacular scenery. Take in panoramic views of Goreme, fairy chimneys and the surrounding valleys while learning about the region's unique geological formation and fascinating history. This is also an excellent opportunity to capture memorable photographs.
Underground City – Kaymakli or Derinkuyu
We continue to one of Cappadocia's remarkable underground cities, Kaymakli or Derinkuyu, depending on the day's tour operation. Descend beneath the surface and explore a fascinating network of tunnels, rooms, storage areas, kitchens and ventilation systems. Your guide will explain how these underground settlements were designed and how they were used by local communities throughout history.
Ihlara Valley – Hiking Included
Our next destination is the spectacular Ihlara Valley, where a guided hiking experience is included. Walk along the Melendiz River surrounded by dramatic canyon walls, lush vegetation and unique rock formations. During the walk, your guide will share information about the valley's history, nature and rock-carved churches. The peaceful atmosphere and impressive scenery make this one of the highlights of the Green Tour.
Lunch
After the Ihlara Valley hike, we take a well-deserved lunch break at a local restaurant. Enjoy traditional Turkish and regional dishes while relaxing before continuing the afternoon itinerary.
Selime Monastery
We then visit the impressive Selime Monastery, one of the largest rock-cut religious complexes in Cappadocia. Explore its carved chambers, tunnels and religious spaces while discovering how the site was used by Christian communities. The elevated location also provides spectacular views over the surrounding landscape.
Turkish Delight Tasting
During the tour, we enjoy a Turkish delight tasting, offering the opportunity to discover one of Turkey's most famous traditional sweets. Taste different varieties and flavors while learning about the cultural importance of Turkish delight and its place in Turkish culinary traditions.
Pigeon Valley
Our next stop is Pigeon Valley, one of Cappadocia's most beautiful panoramic viewpoints. The valley takes its name from the numerous pigeon houses carved into the soft volcanic rock. Historically, pigeons played an important role in local agriculture, particularly through the use of their droppings as natural fertilizer. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and take memorable photographs.
Onyx Demonstration
